Corona virus strikes Glimprik City and the local hospital system is under severe stress, and so is head surgeon and infectious disease specialist Dr. Dr. Madrippee Toiboat and his genius daughter Dr. Sa-ahr “Sarah” Toiboat struggle to weather double-crisises both inside and outside the hospital.

Across town the evil Fin-tech capitalist and filthy rich hospital patron, Linda Lunchworthy, has plans to cash in on the crisis. Linda is the owner of the underground (literally, underground) start-up hub known as The Work Haus and scheming with her husband and beard, Sports Adventurer Jack Jackson, together they plan to partially enslave the employees of The Work Haus by offering them half the virus antidote, that is, the half that doesn't work...

Meanwhile – and there is always a meanwhile – the townspeople are all nearly employed as data miners are struggling day-to-day to survive under the onset of the virus. Their only source of food is the free nutrition lunch pellets provided by The Work Haus benefits package. But one woman, Helene Hairball has been quietly planning to lead a revolt against the oppressors – the miners have begun to dug a misguided tunnel toward the hospital. With the unwitting help of do-gooder nurse practitioner, Dance, they might, might! – maybe, not sure — just be able to straighten all this out.
